Duration of the Master's course: The course has the duration of one year

Frequency requested: 1500 hours

Course description and Learning outcomes: The Master course has the specific

purpose to train medical doctors with multi-sectional competences able to operate in poor infrastructures and management, mainly in ambulatory and day-clinic or in small

health assistance centres, hospitals and medical districts, typically in high poverty

areas, facing cases of ordinary and extraordinary emergencies of various entities.

Professional opportunities:

The Master course contributes towards improving professional carriers in medical and health structures with heavy shortcomings or in international cooperation health projects in sub-Saharan Africa.

Lectures start on: Attendance of the Course is compulsory and lessons will be held

during weekdays. The beginning of the activities is scheduled by April 2012 till

end of February 2013. Coursework will be held at the didactic and

clinical structures of the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery of the University of Parma.
